Mission Statement

The Michigan Lyme Disease Association was founded in 1989, and received its IRS ruling in 1991. We are an all volunteer non-profit organization.

Our mission as the central voice in Michigan is to help prevent Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses while providing support and education to Lyme disease patients, caregivers, Health Care Professionals and the general public.

Our continuing mission is to be pro-active and dedicated to the public and medical community by improving the quality of health care though research, lectures, literature, conferences, a website, and both physical and telephone support. In 2009 we hosted our 5th Conference on Lyme Disease.
